How to Back Up Files Remotely via NVR_Client to a CD/DVD Disc

Feature: CD/DVD Back up via NVR_Client Remotely

Directions: These instructions are for Global NVR_Client to backup recorded data onto a CD/DVD media remotely.

• STEP 1: Insert a blank recordable CD/DVD disc into the Optical Drive
• STEP 2: On the Global NVR Main Screen click on the Remote Search icon to open a dialogue box


Select the DVR from the Select Server drop down list and click O.K to open the Search screen (A).

Then click on the Backup Icon to open a list and select the Backup record by time (B) from the drop down selection to open the Backup Window (C).

• STEP 3:In the Backup window from the Save Path drop down select the Backup path which will be the E: Drive (or your Optical Drive) then Select Begin Time and Select End Time then Check mark the Camera Number in the Backup Camera box. Click on the Check button to see if the Backup Data Size is enough to fit on the blank disc, if the data size is more than the disc size use extra disc to back up the data.

• STEP 4: Once the data size is O.K, Click on the Backup button to start the burning process. The disc will be ejected as soon as the data is written. Remove the recorded disc from the Drive. This is how it should look below when the back up is O.K

• STEP 5: Click on the Exit button.

Note:When you play back the backup data disc it should auto play, if the player does not launch auto play then double click on the Player.exe and it should open a Quad screen to view the video.
